*초록:
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder with a strong genetic component. Recently developed genomic technologies, including microarray and next-generation sequencing (NGS), have enabled researchers to genetic analyses aimed at identifying genetic variations associated with ASD and to elucidate the genetic architecture of the disorder. In this seminar, I will introduce the latest finding of large-scale WGS studies of ASD. Analyzing a high-depth WGS dataset revealed the phenotypic spectrum and distinct genetic architecture for coding and noncoding variants. This seminar will discuss the latest findings from the Korean ASD-WGS cohort and their biological and clinical implication in ASD genetics and neurobiology. I will also introduce our recent approaches to identify noncoding mutations associated with ASD by integrating brain atlas single cell multiomics, and to dissect genetic component underlying ASD sex dimorphism.
