Transforming Diagnostics and Therapeutics through Innovative Platforms

Abstract
Recent interdisciplinary research across diverse scientific fields is deepening our
understanding of the molecular mechanisms of human disease and enabling the
development of more precise diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. These advances have
led to the emergence of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic platforms that utilise micro-
and nanosystems with unique functional characteristics. Building upon these platform
technologies, this study presents a biosensing- based approach for the trace detection of
gene targets and a gene-editing therapeutic strategy employing the CRISPR system. In the
diagnostic field, a molecular diagnostic system based on isothermal PCR was developed,
demonstrating high sensitivity and specificity, and confirming its applicability for point-of-care
testing that enables simple and rapid pathogen detection. In the therapeutic domain, we
propose a non-viral CRISPR delivery platform designed to overcome the safety limitations
associated with conventional viral-based delivery systems while enhancing the precision and
efficiency of genome modification. Consequently, this research presents an innovative and
comprehensive direction for realising personalised precision medicine through a
multidisciplinary and integrative approach, grounded in a profound insight into key disease-
related gene targets.
